New York State PEP/PET programs

NYS ADVANCED MODULE reads holistically scored items and adds them to objective scores where applicable.

NYS Program allows each school district to scan, score, and report PEP and PET instruments.

MCS has developed the ancillary program “NYS ADVANCED MODULE” which allows TestMate to scan, score, report, and electronically transfer LEAP data for the following instruments:

• PEP Grade 3 Reading and Mathematics – booklets and answer sheets
• PEP Grade 6 Reading, Mathematics, and Social Studies – answer sheets
• PEP Grade 5 Writing – answer sheets
• PET Grade 4 Science – answer sheets
• PET Grade 8 Social Studies – answer sheets
• PCT Grade 8 Reading and Writing
• RCT Reading, U.S History, Global Studies, Math, Science, and Writing

The MCS program, “NYS SCANTOOLS APPLICATIONS”, scans all answer sheets and booklets provided by the New York State Education Department. Custom scan sheets are also supported at no additional cost.

The MCS program “NYRxx” (xx is last digit of year) converts the reading score for grades 3,6 and 8 to
DRP units (at any or all levels of comprehension), National Percentiles, and NCE scores.

New Jersey HSPT and EWT programs

The MCS TestMate ancillary programs “NJEWT91, NJEWT92, and NJEWT93, and HSPT92 allow Testmate to scan, score, and report the unsecured instruments listed above. The answer sheets and booklets are available from CTB/McGraw-Hill.

“GRID SCORES” on the mathematics section are automatically scored when scanned, and holistically scored items are added to TestMate scored objective items. Individual Objective Scores and Objective Summary scores are available from TestMate.

Connecticut PRECMT

The MCS ancillary program, CONNECTICUT PRE-CMT, allows Testmate to scan, score, and report the unsecured CMT instruments.
